It was on a fog drenched day in July -- Dale couldn’t get his mind off the possibility that his son might be taken away. His ex-wife Jenna was crass and hostile, unwilling to negotiate. His girlfriend Cheri on the other hand, was too agreeable; the sort of woman that would end up in another man’s arms.

It was a bitter hour, and everything piling up in Dale’s head was rocking his nerves. He could relax with a beer and watch some TV, but what was the point; he’d still have to overcome his fears; he’d still have to consider all the alternatives and bring everything to a place where normalcy could be his friend again.

The clock struck noon -- Dale couldn’t get comfortable; he was restless and needed an escape. He headed to his bedroom and plopped on the bed, secretly hoping that everything was merely a bad dream. When he later awoke, everything in his backyard was covered by a huge plume of fog. When he tried opening his windows to peer beyond, he discovered that they’d been sealed shut…

Writing some emails and relaxing (for a bit) – Looking forward to some new developments in music as I enter the studio with Sekrett Scilensce again; I also hope to get another Devil’z Hide bit out to Podcasters in February – Had Italian Fillet today and it was absolutely yummy (now, if only I’d had some sort of creamy soda or wild tea to go with it).

Green-Light Received for 'The Road Avenger' Novel; 'Road Blaster' Roars Into 2009 in MMP Publishing's Novelization of the 1985 Data East Video-Game Classic

Based on the 1985 Data-East Laserdisc Feature 'Road Blaster,' G-Mode of Japan Has Given a Green-Light to MMP Publishing's "The Road Avenger" novel, to Be Released in 2009

SAINT CHARLES, MO -- (MMP Publishing - January 14, 2009) - Based on the 1985 Data-East laserdisc feature "Road Blaster," G-Mode of Japan has given a green-light to MMP Publishing's "The Road Avenger" novel, to be released in 2009.

Written by Mary Margaret Park (author and poet) and co-produced by Sekrett Scilensce (composer and producer), "The Road Avenger" is the story of Blake Sanders, a man whose destiny is forever changed when a gang known as S.C.U.M. (Secret Criminal Underground Movement) slay his wife.

Methodically promoting anarchy and the breakdown of society, S.C.U.M. seeks to hold the world hostage, devouring one city at a time.

Before the reader's eyes are the politicians and behind the lies, there's the S.C.U.M. -- Blindly avenging a love once known, "The Road Avenger" must decide what is right -- In spite of his wishes to remain an honorable member of humanity, Blake treads the fine lines between virtue and dishonor.

"The original concept is 'Mad Max' like," author Mary Margaret Park explained, "So we've decided to make 'The Road Avenger' a psychological action drama, which will end up like a cross between 'Mad Max,' 'Ronin,' and Steven Soderbergh's 'Traffic.' Though we are expanding on a simple plotline, we are straying far from the typical Hollywood attitudes that engulf many fine stories."

Licensors in Tokyo were pleased and gave the project a thumbs-up -- A total of four chapters were showcased in a mock 6x9 binding, emulating the look and feel of the finished product.

Fans of "Road Blaster" (a.k.a. "Road Avenger" in the U.S.A.) can visit http://www.theroadavenger.com to obtain more details about the novelization and are encouraged to join the demo club.

Realizing the money that could be made within the interactive content, Data East began developing arcade video games in 1979 and established a U.S division. By 1985, Data East had shifted away from interchangeability to concentrate themselves on video games only.

Prepping for our first 2009 news blitz – This roof is on fire and I’m telling you, it’ll just keep burning. Speaking of which, I’m so excited, it’s unruly; tons of info coming out in the next few hours plus, a cascade of developments thorough until June then bam, straight into larger projects as those carry on. I’ll be talking with Sekrett Scilensce of America about our news distribution to smaller regions as some of you have stated that you’d like to see some outlets in your area carry some extra goodies.

Be safe and stay cool, trust me!

Sekrett Scilensce and Mary Margaret Park En Español…? Sí…..

Sekrett Scilensce and Mary Margaret Park will begin test-marketing their untitled Spanglish music project, reviving the swing ballroom ranchera sound with elements of jazz metal fusion.

New York, NY (MMP Publishing) December 15, 2008 – Sekrett Scilensce (Ss) and Mary Margaret Park will begin test-marketing their untitled Spanglish music project, reviving the swing ballroom ranchera sound with elements of jazz metal fusion.

Described as the end result when placing, “The Latin Breed”, “Laura Canales”, and “Jay Perez” into a blender, the songs, “Aqui No Puedo Me Hacer” (Sekrett Scilensce) and “Donde Voy Estar” (Mary Margaret Park), are hoped to be a portal into the past and a leap into the future.

“I think the sixties and seventies Latin fusion sound which was blended with the upbeat polka time signature was a fascinating style of jazzy, mid tempo ballad music.” Sekrett Scilensce explained, “I always liked the progressive variations on the swing ballroom ranchera, so I’m excited to present my take on this music style and hope that listeners are taken back and brought forward in a pioneering spirit all at once.”

Arriving on the heels of discussions concerning adapting selections from their collaborative music catalogues for Japanese audiences, Sekrett Scilensce and Mary Margaret Park present their Spanglish crossover music to further compliment a series of regionalized recordings, set to debut throughout the years 2009 and 2012.

“Whether it’s the high octane drumming of bands like The Latin Breed or the dreamy psychedelic feel in Laura Canales’s music, the Chicano sound will almost always be a dominant hybrid of the Latino music world.” Mary Margaret Park said, “When Ss said, let’s do Spanish music, I knew it’d be challenging while upbeat and fun. When I listened to the end result, I couldn’t help but think about how it all sounds so familiar but yet still very distinctive, so we’re excited to see how our songs are met.”

Latin music lovers interested in becoming test-audience members for these music releases can visit http://www.sekrettscilensce.com/ee (or http://www.marymargaretpark.com/ee should they encounter errors) and use the form provided.

Upon completing the form, participants will be forwarded a link to download the full-version MP3’s in exchange for their impressions regarding how the songs would be best described to audiences world-wide. These MP3’s contain no DRM-protection and are intended for participants to keep as a token of appreciation for their participation.

MMP Publishing to merge distribution of 2009 catalogues with Sekrett Scilensce of America

MMP Publishing and Sekrett Scilensce of America will merge their Q1 and Q2 distribution of catalogues for 2009 under Kuneo Koei’s North-American release-roster

New York, NY (MMP Publishing) December 15, 2008 – MMP Publishing and Sekrett Scilensce of America will merge their Q1 and Q2 distribution of catalogues for 2009 under Kuneo Koei’s North-American release-roster.

The decision, which arrived upon the heels of larger developments between signature Artists Mary Margaret Park (Author and Poet) and Sekrett Scilensce (Composer and Producer), aims to signify the growth of the two entities, particularly to core licensors of their Written-works and Audio-works presentations.

“Sekrett Scilensce has expressed disinterest with many virtual based music licensing methodologies.” said Yotsov Koraep, a licensing-administrator of Sekrett Scilensce, “He would much rather see his music licensed to those that require his services privately, and continue to stray from the sectors of catalogue-publishing which strip Artists of their overall integrity.”

Alongside these labors, Sekrett Scilensce has decided to attach longtime collaborator, Mary Margaret Park’s, titles into the overall combination of content to be provided beginning in 2009.

“Sekrett Scilensce’s approach to collaboratively presenting productions is apart from traditional standards.” Author and Poet Mary Margaret Park (MMP Publishing) explained, “It is a blend of test-marketing methods combined with licensing and niche-retail acquirements, so I’m excited to see steadier growth in 2009.”

Official developments which have led to the marriage of MMP Publishing’s and Sekrett Scilensce of America’s 2009 merged catalogue debuts have ranged from G-Mode (of Japan)’s approval for the Artists to adapt a novel from a 1985 Data-East laserdisc feature, as well as the collaborative literature project titled, “Shadow Cure”, in which Sekrett Scilensce serves as co-producer to Mary Margaret Park’s label.
